About the Artist

At its core, my mission is to honor place-based knowledge and amplify underrepresented voices in the American West. The work doesn’t just depict—it invites. Viewers are asked to reconsider how we define value, history, and belonging. Through mixed media that blends the archival with the intuitive, I invite a collective remembering—one that reclaims the narrative through the eyes and labor of people bound to the land.

I discovered Gunnison, Colorado where I graduated with my BFA in painting. In Virginia, I completed my MFA degree at Radford University. I am currently a Professor of Art at Western Colorado University. My love of teaching inspires my artwork and my artwork inspires my teaching.

I live in Gunnison, CO with my husband, two daughters and son; all of whom give me reason and purpose in my artwork as well as in life. I enjoy the outdoors that surrounds me including skiing, hiking, sailboarding, and camping with my family. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and experience the artwork I create.
